Avec plus de 200 ans d'histoire, la Quinta da Portela de Baixo est située dans la région du Douro, dans la ville monumentale de Lamego. C'est une propriété familiale qui compte 15 hectares de vignobles, des bâtiments traditionnels en granit, des vues dégagées et de magnifiques jardins.

La visite et la dégustation de vin sont une expérience détendue, avec une atmosphère traditionnelle du Douro et un personnel accueillant.

À propos des Vins

Les vins proposés proviennent de la Quinta da Portela et de la Quinta da Soveral.

De la Quinta da Portela de Baixo, située à plus de 500 mètres d'altitude et au sol granitique, proviennent le Pinot Noir pétillant et les vins blancs élaborés à partir des cépages Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Arinto, Viosinho et Rabigato.

De la Quinta da Soveral, qui commence à 300 mètres d'altitude et s'étend jusqu'à la rivière, proviennent le vin rouge Reserva élaboré à partir des cépages Touriga Nacional et Sousão (médaille d'or CMB 2024) et les vins de Porto, avec un accent particulier sur le Porto Vintage.

Fantastic relaxed winery hospitality

Big thanks to the folks at Quinta da Portela who were both friendly and knowledgeable. We were walked through the onsite museum and learned about the multi-generation history of this winery; interesting to see artifacts of the wine business and how equipment has changed across the decades. The great pleasure of our visit was a wonderfully relaxed and leisurely seated tour of their sparkling, still and fortified wines as well as their olive oil. These were deftly accompanied by delicious local food products both savoury and sweet on their hilltop outdoor patio. Highly recommended!

Wine tasting

We were at a wine tasting experience in August, and it was amazing. The lady who guided us was very friendly, funny, and her knowledge about the winery and Port wine was outstanding. The winery itself is beautiful. We had the opportunity to try six different types of wine (with snacks). I strongly recommend this place and the tour. We even bought a bottle to remember this experience.
