Tenuta Brancalupo was born from a rediscovery project that represents a key step in the renewal process undertaken by the Lungarotti family since 2024, redefining its wines and image in a way that is consistent with its history and the values ​​of the region. The winery is located in the underground section of a villa, surrounded by vineyards, with a 360° view of the valley. The recent renovation, completed in March 2026, transformed the production and aging areas into a place of silence and contemplation. It is a reference to the Franciscan soul of Umbria: essential, profound, and respectful. After all, the name Brancalupo evokes not only the animal dear to Saint Francis (a symbol of a simple life in contact with nature) but also loyalty and belonging to the territory, reflecting values ​​that have always been in the Lungarotti DNA. The new wine tourism experiences are designed for those seeking authenticity. Tours designed for wine enthusiasts and curious travelers, where tasting, landscape, and culture intertwine in a unique story.

Our vineyards are typical of the Montefalco area, with a focus on Sagrantino, Sangiovese, and Trebbiano. The wine tasting focuses primarily on those produced here in Montefalco: our brand new white wine Trebbiano Spoletino, a fantastic, refreshing wine, Ilbio IGT, made from 100% of the main varietal grown here at our winery; Montefalco Rosso DOC Sangiovese, Merlot, and the main varietal of Montefalco, trained using the double spurred cordon system; harvested between September and October; Sagrantino DOCG, a 100% Sagrantino obtained by massal selection and harvested in mid-October; and Sagrantino Passito DOCG, obtained by massal selection on the estate, harvested in mid-October in crates. Other tastings include wines that are part of the top experience, both from the main winery in Torgiano and in Montefalco, including: Brut Millesimato, Torre di Giano Vigna Il Pino, Rubesco Riserva Vigna Monticchio, and Sagrantino DOCG.
