Berat Day Trip and Pupa Winery Visit with Tasting & Lunch from Durrës

Your day begins with a journey from Durrës to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage site known as the “Town of a Thousand Windows.” You will first explore the city with a local guide, visiting the still-inhabited Berat Castle for views over the valley and walking through the historic quarters of Mangalem and Gorica, with their preserved Ottoman architecture, ancient churches, and mosques.

The tour continues to Pupa Winery, located in the rolling hills of the Berat region. Here, you will be welcomed by a hospitality team member for an introduction to their winemaking traditions. The tasting takes place on the winery's terrace and includes a selection of three wines: a white, a rosé, and a red, produced from local grape varieties such as Puls, Serina, Debina, and Birvoli. The tasting also features two traditional Albanian rakis.

To complete the experience, you will be served a traditional Albanian lunch in the winery's restaurant. The meal is prepared with fresh, local ingredients and includes a seasonal vegetable salad, appetizers like byrek, bread with yogurt-based dips, and a main course of grilled meat or a vegetarian alternative.
