Here is what's in store for you

Step back in time and savor the essence of fine wine on our exclusive tour at Castel Pietraio, which blends historical allure with the art of winemaking in Chianti.

Your wine experience begins in the enchanting courtyard of our medieval castle, where we trace its storied past back to the year 1000. As you wander through this historic setting of Castel Pietraio, you'll be transported through centuries of history.

The wine tour continues inside our cellar, a treasure trove of winemaking heritage with tools dating from the 19th century. Here, you’ll explore the evolution of winemaking techniques from ancient practices to contemporary methods, providing a comprehensive look at the craft's progression through time.

Conclude your tour with a wine tasting of three distinguished wines, each representing a different facet of our vineyard's expertise: a vibrant Chardonnay, a classic Chianti Colli Senesi, and an exquisite Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva. You can also choose to elevate your wine experience by pairing the wines with a selection of cheese and cold cuts.

Reviews of this Winery

Visita fantastica e vini eccellenti

Rate: 5 out of 5 7/1/24
Tutto perfetto

Great experience!

Rate: 4 out of 5 6/1/24
We had a great time at Castel Pietraio. When we arrived we started with a guided tour of the winery. Our guide, Catarina was very knowledgeable and passionate about their product!

We then tasted three wines on the veranda. It was well-paced. We didn't feel rushed or delayed.
The only thing I might suggest is to offer some nibbles to pair with the wine. They did offer potato chips, but could amp that up a bit.
