Discover the authentic spirit of #garagewine with a relaxed and personal visit led by the two partners of the project, Jesús Toledo and Julián Ajenjo. #garagewine makes organic, single-plot wines in limited series, without additives, and this Basic Visit is the perfect introduction to their way of understanding and making wine.
The visit starts in the courtyard where the grapes are received and continues through the different areas of the winery: winemaking, bottling, ageing and the laboratory. You will learn how the wines are made, how the team interprets the soils and plots, and how each one is worked, going well beyond the description of aromas and flavours.
The tasting of 4 wines begins in the winemaking room and ends in the tasting room. The usual selection includes two white wines, Airén and Verdoncho, the young unaged red Brujidera and an aged wine, usually 6 de 7 or Garnacha Tintorera depending on availability. The selection can change with the moment in the winery, and during harvest or bottling you may also taste wines at those stages. The wines are paired with local Iberian cured meats (lomo, salchichón, jamón and chorizo) and Manchego cheeses of different ageing.
The visit ends in the tasting room, where you can buy your favourite bottles.
