Rientrato in Sicilia agli inizi del Novecento, dopo una breve esprerienza in America, CArmine Trefiletti investì risorse e forza fisica nell'impianto di svariati ettari di vigneto in una zona vocata dell'Etna, Castiglione di Sicilia. Rocco Trefiletti, nipote del fondatore, continua la tradizione vitivinicola familiare con la stessa devozione del capostipite, dedicandosi con passione alla valorizzazione dei vigneti, seguendo i tradizionali usi dei vignaioli etnei.

Currently, the winery owns three vineyards, all in the Etnean territory, at an altitude ranging from 500 to 750 meters above sea level; in Linguaglossa, the vineyards are located in the districts "Martinella", from which our wine is named, and Pomiciaro. Another vineyard is located in the "Terremorte" district of Piedimonte Etneo. Being located in the northern side of Mount Etna, the highest active volcano of Europe, the soils derive from the disintegration of lava flows, ashes and lapilli which, together with the mild climate, give life to an ideal territory for the production of particular and unique wines.
