Cantina e Vini

From the ashes of an ancient distillery, in 2004 Giovanni Valenti, his wife Francesca and their son Alessandro decided to give life to the current Cantine Valenti located in Passopisciaro,, a site renowned for the production of excellent Etna Doc wines. The family decides to focus on the production of high quality wines with a great accent on sustainability. But what does sustainability means? Here it means that production has been anticipated by a careful analysis of the vocations of each parcel. Most of the work is concentrated in the vineyard, according to Etna's peasant tradition, in order to allow the activity to have a minimal impact both on the environment and on consumers' health.

As of today, the winery covers 30 hectares, divided among vineyards and olive groves. The terroir is markedly different, it can be found both walking in each district and among the districts themselves, and this allowed the creation of the vineyards following the vocation of each of them. The age of vineyards varies from 3 years old up to 15, 20 and some of them also more than 100 years old!
