ESTATE & PHILOSOPHY - The winemaking in Montechiaro is 300 years old. Montechiaro estate, by the Griccioli Family since 1720, is situated at the top of a picturesque hill 5 km from Siena with amazing views of the Chianti region. Alessandro, the oldest son, has enhanced the centenarian grape patrimony, focusing on Sangiovese and rare native grapes. This fusion of history, passion, and art is supported by an organic philosophy to create the highest expression of the Siena’s Colli Chianti DOCG. A traditional winemaking process, in the natural nineteenth cellar, valorizes our unique marine terroir. ORGANIC FARMING - Organic grape-growing is arduous and requires more hours of manual labor. Since 2010, the fruit of our commitment has been healthy, beautiful grapes. Organic vineyards teem with life. Their robust roots dig deep and they express a real connection with the land. Organic farming is the means but the quality is the end. Organic winemaking is the natural culmination of a quest to achieve the greatest expression of the land. Respect for nature is the best tool for obtaining grapes rich with life and expressive potential. The balance between humankind and nature is at the heart of sustainable wines that have a deep connection to the land where they are made. GRAPEVINES & WINES - Our mission is focused to valorize the Sangiovese potential in Riserva and Supertuscan style, coupled with Arteliquida project based on Malvasia Nera cru and experimental Supertuscan white. 2000 native olive trees contribute to creating an intense extra virgin olive oil. Close to the cellar, you can find the historic chapel of the Villa and the original 1950 olive mill, now transformed into a shop and a charming tasting room.

OSPITALITÀ ED ESPERIENZE - Quattro ville in affitto con parcheggio privato, giardino e piscina, completano il resort dedicato all'ospitalità e all'esperienza del vino. L'azienda si affida alla professionalità del personale e alla sua costante formazione, offrendo diverse esperienze personalizzate per immergersi completamente nel territorio e nella cultura enogastronomica locale come la caccia al tartufo, i picnic in vigna, le cene tradizionali, le degustazioni a cavallo o esperienze gourmet come Chianina e vino. Le proprietà di famiglia si estendono fino al Castello medievale di Monteriggioni, dove l'antica scuderia del palazzo di famiglia è stata trasformata in una suggestiva sala di degustazione. Le nostre uve biologiche crescono in 6 diversi piccoli vigneti piantati dal 1998 al 2012, tra le dolci colline del Chianti senese. Alessandro ha sviluppato tre progetti per la valorizzazione del patrimonio vitivinicolo aziendale: 1) ANNO DOMINI '345 – I NOSTRI CHIANTI - Chianti Colli Senesi A.D. ‘345 (Sangiovese + uve autoctone) - Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva A.D.
