Cantina e Vini
The vineyards of Muralia cover 14 hectares of limestone, clay and stony ground. In the past, man dug out minerals from this land; today it is the grape that takes the nourishment and gives the wine a pronounced minerality, which is typical of this region. The variety of the vines grown at different altitudes (one, flat, at the Poggiarello, the other two on the hills, at Sassofortino) add value to the wine. Helped by his team, Stefano supervises the vineyards with passion, the fundamental quality of the winemaker's work. The cellar of Muralia is the place where the contact with the grapes becomes intimate. It is here that the grapes are listened to, interpreting the message that comes straight from the earth. Touching the fruit of hard work and letting it speak without interfering, this is the philosophy of Muralia. The cellar is built inside a hill and is inserted discreetly in nature, hidden by a wall of ancient stones, a sort of theatre wings. The symbol chosen as the logo of the firm derives from the Sumerians, who had given this figure the meaning of "hand". It is the hand that welcomes and greets, the hand works the land, and it is the hand that picks the grapes from the plant and brings them to the glass.
