Proyecto Malaparte

Malaparte is a small artisanal wine project based in Cuéllar, Segovia, in the heart of Castilla y León. Surrounded by vineyards and the characteristic pine forests of the area, the winery was created with a clear philosophy: to make wines that faithfully reflect the place they come from.

The estate works its own vineyards, located at approximately 890 meters above sea level, where limestone-rich soils, high altitude, and a continental climate create distinctive growing conditions. The winery itself is only a few kilometers from the vineyards, maintaining a close connection between the land and the winemaking process.

Everything is approached on a small scale and largely by hand, following the vines and the characteristics of each individual vintage. Malaparte practices respectful viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking, prioritizing authenticity over standardization. Rather than seeking larger production, the goal is to create distinctive wines with personality and a genuine connection to Cuéllar.

Our wines

Malaparte produces natural, minimally interventionist wines in small quantities, including whites, reds, sparkling wines, and experimental small-batch creations that may vary from one vintage to another.

In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention allow the grapes and vineyards to shape the character of each wine. Instead of pursuing a uniform style from year to year, Malaparte embraces vintage variation, considering every harvest a unique expression of a particular moment in the vineyard.

The combination of limestone soils, approximately 890 meters of altitude, a continental climate, and the surrounding pine forests contributes to wines characterized by freshness, minerality, vitality, and individuality. Some are immediate and easy-drinking, while others offer greater complexity and unconventional expressions.

Each bottle ultimately reflects the essential elements behind Malaparte: Cuéllar, its pine forests, limestone, altitude, and grapes, transformed into wines that speak clearly of their origin.
