Ci hanno offerto un tagliere di salumi e formaggi locali e bruschette di pomodori, il tutto accompagnato da una spiegazione dettagliata e precisa dei loro vini.
Il panorama è unico, come la cantina verderame.

The desire to restore the beauty of the terraces and to resume production
Verderame was born from our desire to reunite the particles of the original estate belonging to our great-grandfather, now fractionated and in ruins
A philological study among the razoles for the research of the ancient planting pattern
Our path for the recovery of the vineyards begins with a philological study of the original layout of the vineyard at the end of the nineteenth century, with the laying of hundreds of meters of wire between the razors, which subsequently allowed us to plant the new vineyard with the ‘exact sixth original
A wine made in the vineyard, which respects the vintage
The work on Etna and near Passopisciaro is not easy, starting from working the vines on the terraces, a “heroic” cultivation, as fascinating as it is complicated. We don’t ask for more than one kilogram of grapes for each plant, we respect the vintage, avoiding giving too much impact to the wine with work in the cellar
The time and dedication that we spend a year in the vineyard allow us to create a well-finished wine full of emotions, a wine that has been listened to, a wine that tastes of commitment and dedication, in short, a wine that knows how to tell
A wine production dating back to the late nineteenth century
It all began when in 1870 Remigia Camardi, descendant of the Vigo family from Acireale, married Michele Leonardi. The original estate of Moganazzi, about four hectares large, belonged to them, and has always been used for the production of wine.
Remigia and Michele will have nine children, of whom only two: Virginia and Sebastiano, will inherit the estate in 1910, then a progressive decline begins, the land is divided up and the heirs in part leave the land to their own fate leading to the disappearance of large areas of vineyard.
Authentic expression of the volcanic territory and of the district with a unique terroir
Our wine is able to express emotions, to tell its territory. Our wines are divided into districts, each of these tells its own story. In the cellar we use steel and the right wood to give space to the vine
Contrada Moganazzi, at the center of Etna excellence
Our vineyards are located in the Moganazzi district, Passopiasciaro, on the northern slope of the volcano.
Our vineyard has two different terroirs, between the particle of the vineyards located higher up and those further down
Our wine: Filologico
This is our “philological” philosophy, which unites the five generations who have taken care of the ancient family vineyard, conserving and meticulously caring for it, allowing today the production of these wines. “philological” is also the method we used to search for the ancient planting layout in our vineyards, thus allowing us to resume the planting structure of the original vineyard dating back over 150 years ago.
