Here is what's in store for you
At Jostela Boutique Winery, in the heart of North Macedonia’s Gevgelija–Valandovo wine region, guests are welcomed into an intimate and authentic tasting journey designed to showcase the passion and craftsmanship behind every bottle. From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted with a guided introduction to the estate, learning about the winery’s philosophy, vineyards, and artisanal approach to winemaking. You’ll explore the production areas, gaining insight into how Jostela transforms hand-harvested grapes into elegant wines and brandy, before settling into a relaxed tasting setting surrounded by the natural beauty of the region.
The experience allows tasting of four carefully selected products: one crisp white wine, one delicate rosé, one rich red wine, and one refined brandy. Each is thoughtfully paired with local specialties—such as two types of artisan cheeses, savory cured meats, and freshly baked bread or crackers—that complement the flavors and highlight the character of the wines. This balance of tastes allows guests to appreciate the nuances of both international grape varieties and local heritage expressions that thrive in the fertile soils of Gevgelija and Valandovo.
What makes this experience truly special is its combination of quality and intimacy. With limited production and a philosophy centered on respect for nature and tradition, Jostela Boutique Winery offers visitors not just a tasting, but a genuine connection to the land and people of North Macedonia. Whether you’re a curious traveler or a seasoned wine lover, this “Short & Sweet” journey provides the perfect introduction to the region’s winemaking culture, blending scenic views, warm hospitality, and unforgettable flavors into a memorable hour-long escape.

How should you be dressed?
For the Jostela Boutique Winery “Short & Sweet” experience, guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and bring a few essentials to ensure a relaxed visit: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the tour may include walking through vineyard paths or production areas with uneven terrain. Light clothing and a hat or sunglasses are ideal in the warmer months, as the Gevgelija–Valandovo region is known for its sunny, Mediterranean-like climate. Sunscreen is also advisable if you plan to spend extra time outdoors. In cooler seasons, it’s best to bring a light jacket or sweater, since parts of the winery, especially storage or cellar areas, may feel cooler than the outside temperature. During spring or autumn, a raincoat or umbrella can be useful if showers are expected. A reusable water bottle is handy to stay refreshed between tastings. Overall, casual but neat attire works perfectly, allowing you to enjoy both the vineyard surroundings and the indoor tasting in comfort.
