Khinkali Cooking & Qvevri Wine Tasting at a Family Winery – Rostomaant Marani
Here is what's in store for you
Join a truly authentic Georgian experience at Rostomaant Marani, a family-owned winery in Telavi, Kakheti.
The experience begins with a Khinkali-making master class, where participants learn how to prepare Georgia’s most famous dumplings filled with meat, spices, and herbs. The hosts guide guests through each step — from mixing the dough to folding the perfect Khinkali — followed by a tasting of the freshly made creations.
After the cooking session, the experience continues in the wine cellar with a guided tasting of three family-produced Qvevri wines: Rkatsiteli Qvevri Amber Dry Wine, Saperavi Qvevri Red Dry Wine, and Saperavi Qvevri Dessert Wine – Rostwine (Fortified Wine). All wines are crafted in traditional Qvevri clay vessels, following Georgia’s 8,000-year-old winemaking heritage. The tasting is accompanied by handmade Khinkali, local bread, homemade cheese, and other traditional Georgian sides.
Throughout the visit, guests will hear stories about Georgian wine culture, local food traditions, and the history of the cellar.
Enjoy a warm, hands-on journey into Georgian taste, tradition, and hospitality at Rostomaant Marani!
