Here is what's in store for you

For all the wine enthusiasts, our visit “Vine, Wine and Life” is a journey in space and time that starts with the winter pruning of vines and ends up with the rite of wine tasting. During the visit to our ORGANIC vineyards we will go through all the main steps of the agronomic, phenolic and organic cycle in order to understand the complexity of the “vineyard” ecosystem and of an agriculture with low environmental impact. 

We will then move to our historical cellar where we will discover the chemical-physical and microbiological processes that make a quality production.

We will continue our journey moving to the sensorial tasting room to grasp the organoleptic complexity of our wines and have a better understanding of them.

The visit will end up with a light-lunch to experience the emotions that the right combination food/wine can offer to our palate and to our spirit.

All the different chapters will be discussed directly in the vineyards/cellars in a very simple way, in order to easily understand even the most apparently complicated concepts.

Wonderful wine tasting experience
We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting and lunch at this lovely vineyard, Christian, our guide was very friendly and helpful with the right balance of information and fun and they prepared a tasty fresh lunch with great pasta and interesting wine.
Taxi from hotel, as within the Siena city walls it seemed to be hard to organise taxis. They easily organised a taxi back to Siena from the vineyard for us.

Fantastic experience
Really an awesome experience, the great passion and knowledge of people working in the Azienda Agricola Alastra really make such a visit one of the most beautiful activities in Siena.
And the meal at the end it’s extremely good!

A Beautiful Day!
This was my first ever experience wine tasting, and it was the best! The tasty, homemade lunch, the sweet and knowledgeable staff, the delicious wines—the perfect combinations for an incredible experience.
