Here is what's in store for you
For this experience, Il Convento welcomes you to their distillery and their holiday farmhouse to learn first-hand how traditional limoncello, the liquid gold of the Amalfi and Sorrento area, is made.
The meeting point for this experience will be the distillery of Il Convento, located about 10 minutes away from the farmhouse by foot, in Via Bagnulo N.10, Massa Lubrense.
Here, you will learn how about the production process of limoncello, and you will have the opportunity to bottle your own limoncello, that you’ll take home with you at the end of the experience.
After learning all about the production of limoncello, you will head to the farmhouse of Il Convento. You can reach the farmhouse on foot along the ancient roads of Massa Lubrense (a 10 minutes walk) or you can decide to move with your own vehicle from one location to the other.
At the farmhouse, you will be given a tour of the cellar, the former sacristy of the convent, and you will enjoy a walk along the lemon grove of the estate, with a typical pergola from Sorrento.
The experience will end with a tasting of limoncello and other liquors made by Il Convento, like Arancello (made with oranges), Mandarinetto (tangerines), Crema di Limoni, Liquirizia (licorice), Mirto (myrtle) and Nocillo (walnuts), as well as a tasting of their homemade citrus marmalades and their extra virgin olive oil. Should you have any allergies or food intolerances, please inform Il Convento at the time of booking.
