Organic Wine Tasting Course and Lunch at Bodega Miquel Jané in Penedès

Your day at Bodega Miquel Jané starts with a walk through the vineyards, where your guide will introduce you to the principles of viticulture in the high-altitude Alt Penedès region. You'll then tour the winery to see how the Miquel Jané family's organic wines are made, following the process from grape to bottle.

The experience continues in the tasting room, a covered space with large windows overlooking the estate. Here, an expert with training in oenology or sommellerie will lead you through a technical tasting course. Using a practical dossier to help you identify aromas and flavors, you will sample four organic wines. The selection changes with the season but often includes a Xarel·lo, a Sauvignon Blanc, a Syrah, and a Reserva blend of Garnacha and Cariñena.

After the tasting, you will head to the nearby Restaurant Cal Pau Xich for the gastronomic part of your day. You'll be served a three-course seasonal lunch featuring local ingredients, with dishes like artichoke and foie salad, grilled duck breast, or baked cod. Your meal will be paired with two more Miquel Jané wines: the organic Sauvignon Blanc and the Masía Cal Costas red, aged for 12 months in barrel.
