Upon arrival, board the cogwheel train to the Monastery and marvel at the stunning views along the way. A 45-minute guided tour of Montserrat Abbey will introduce you to its rich history, art, and spiritual significance. Following this, indulge in a tasting of locally produced liquors crafted by the monks of Montserrat.
After the guided portion, you’ll have two hours of free time to explore Montserrat at your own pace. You can choose to visit the Basilica, admire the Black Madonna, hike scenic trails, or simply soak in the breathtaking views.
The next part of your journey takes you to a traditional 12th-century farmhouse in the Pla de Bages region, surrounded by rolling vineyards and stunning landscapes. Here, you’ll enjoy an authentic 3-course Catalan lunch, thoughtfully paired with fine wines selected by a sommelier.
To end the day, you’ll visit an authentic wine cellar, where an expert guide will lead you through the winemaking process, from grape to bottle. Your tour concludes with a wine tasting session, allowing you to savor the region’s best wines before heading back to Barcelona.
