This immersive experience takes you to the heart of the Louis Balincourt Champagne House in Châlons-en-Champagne.
Led by an experienced multilingual guide, you will journey through the fascinating history of the Châlons Chalk Quarries, geological formations dating back to the Cretaceous period (when dinosaurs roamed the earth). Humans began exploiting these chalk quarries nearly 2,000 years ago, and they eventually became the perfect environment for Champagne to age gracefully from the early 19th century. During your tour of the production and storage facilities, you will also explore the Champagne-making process, discovering the historic production tools used throughout history.
The experience concludes with a tasting of a cuvée, the Louis Balincourt Champagne Brut Séduction.
After the visit, don't hesitate to explore the "Champagne's Got Talent" shop, which showcases over fifty handcrafted treasures from the Champagne region – a great way to extend your exploration beyond the tour!
