Self-Guided E-Bike Tour with Organic Wine Tasting in Val Nestore
Here is what's in store for you
Your self-guided tour begins in Tavernelle, 20 minutes south of Lake Trasimeno, where you'll be equipped with a modern e-bike, a helmet, and a GPS computer with the route pre-loaded. From there, you'll set off on an easy 25-kilometer loop through the Val Nestore, with an elevation gain of about 500 meters. The path, a mix of paved and gravel roads, winds through rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves, with roadside assistance available for the entire duration.
The route leads you to an organic winery wherea member of the hospitality team will welcome you for a guided tasting. Depending on the day, your tasting will take place in the panoramic tasting room or on the patio overlooking the vineyards.
You will taste two wines: a white blend of Sauvignon, Viognier, and Incrocio Manzoni, and a rosé made from Gamay and Sangiovese.
The wines are served with a platter of local products, including capocollo, mortadella, and salami from Mangalica pork, Pecorino cheese, truffle bruschetta, chickpea and lemon bruschetta, and Torta al Testo. Younger participants can enjoy the food platter with fruit juice instead of wine.
