Pesto Experience with Local Wine Tasting in Sestri Levante
Here is what's in store for you
With a traditional Genoese Carrara marble mortar, you will prepare Pesto the authentic way, just as it has been done in Genoa for generations. Using a pestle, you’ll grind the fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and extra virgin olive oil to create the perfect homemade pesto.
Throughout the experience, learn about the history of Genoese merchants, the traditions of Ligurian cuisine, and local culinary secrets. To make your pesto even more special, a local wine pairing will be offered, bringing out the best flavors in your creation.
After preparing your pesto, enjoy your dish and take photos with authentic traditional tools. You will also have the opportunity to purchase local Ligurian products at the Piccola Bottega Ligure.
To make the experience even more memorable, you will receive a "Pesto Chef" diploma and a recipe card to recreate a delicious plate of Trofie al Pesto at home.
