Owner-Led Wine Tasting with Umbrian Foods at Cantina Peppucci in Todi
Here is what's in store for you
At Cantina Peppucci, in the hills near Todi, you'll be welcomed directly by the owner, Filippo Peppucci. He will guide you on a visit to the winery, sharing the history of his family and their approach to winemaking in Umbria.
The experience continues in the estate's modern tasting room, completed in 2010. Here, Filippo will personally introduce each of the four wines you'll be tasting.
The selection starts with a white, I Rovi Grechetto di Todi Superiore DOC, before moving to two structured reds: Giovanni, an Umbria Rosso IGT blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and Altro Io, made from Sagrantino grapes. The tasting concludes with the Altro Io Passito, a sweet wine produced in limited quantities only in the best vintages.
To accompany the wines, you will be served a platter of local Umbrian products, including homemade focaccia, Pecorino Umbro, caciotta, Prosciutto, and local salami or capocollo.
