You will start your private day tour with a panoramic one-hour drive through the Tuscan countryside to reach your first stop, Siena. Here you'll explore the fascinating medieval city birthplace of the beloved Italian Saint Catherine. Discover an ancient city made of brown Siena-colored bricks, a jumble of narrow streets and picturesque squares, medieval towers, a spectacular cathedral, and the tall and trimmed Torre del Mangia. Breathe an enticing atmosphere and almost feel like you're stepping back in time.

Siena was built on three hills and is home to one of the most authentic and important Gothic cathedrals south of the Alps. Discover the city’s architectural masterpieces and admire the unusual shell-shaped Piazza del Campo whose beauty has been entrapped in many films and photographs.

In Piazza del Campo, a brick-covered square, twice a year takes place the ‘Palio’ horserace. The event involves the entire local population and it is considered one of the most important events in the life of the Senese people. Almost anything will be done to win this extremely competitive race and bring home the ‘Palio’, a silk banner proudly displayed in the ‘Contrada’ or neighborhood it represents.

After departing from Siena, embark on a ride through the Chianti countryside, and enjoy amazing scenarios made of vineyards, olive trees, rolling hills, and old stone buildings. You will stop at a hilltop Tuscan winery, where you'll learn about the roots of the estate and the millenary tradition of winemaking. If time allows it, on your way back you will also stop in Greve in Chianti, one of the most representative villages of the Chianti wine region and the birthplace of the Tuscan explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano, the first European to reach the New York Harbor.
