Provence Day Tour from Aix-en-Provence: Cassis, Calanques & Wine Tasting

Your day begins with departure from Aix-en-Provence, with pick-up at 8:15 AM at the Tourist Office. The first stop is the picturesque harbor village of Cassis, often referred to as the “Little Saint-Tropez of Provence,” where you will enjoy free time to stroll through its charming streets and lively squares.

Then, embark on a short cruise through the spectacular Calanques National Park, a UNESCO-listed natural area famous for its turquoise waters, dramatic white limestone cliffs, and hidden creeks. In case of bad weather, the boat ride may be replaced by an alternative activity for safety reasons.

After some free time for lunch in Cassis, continue along the scenic Route des Crêtes toward Cap Canaille, the highest limestone sea cliff in Europe, where you can admire stunning panoramic views over the Mediterranean coastline.

The experience concludes with a wine tasting in the Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire wine region. Nestled at the foot of the iconic Sainte-Victoire Mountain, immortalized by painter Paul Cézanne, this appellation is known for its clay-limestone soils, sunny hillsides, and elegant Provençal wines.
