Sagrantino 100%: Wine Tasting at Cantine Briziarelli

Cantine Briziarelli welcomes you to Montefalco, in the heart of the territory of Sagrantino, to get to know this splendid variety in various forms.

The experience will start with a tour of the vineyards of the estate, followed by a tour of their winery. During the tour, particular attention will be given to the different ways a single grape variety can be vinified to obtain wines with very different identities.

The tasting will take place in the tasting room of the estate, with a view over Assisi and Bevagna. The knowledgeable sommeliers of Cantine Briziarelli will guide you through the tasting of 5 of their Sagrantino wines. Tasting the different interpretations that Cantine Briziarelli gives to the Sagrantino grape will allow you to better understand the characteristics and the complexity that distinguish this special variety.

The wines offered during the tasting will be: Anthaia' Umbria Rosato IGT, Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG, 'Vitruvio' Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG of two different vintages, Montefalco Sagrantino Passito DOCG (when not available it will be replaced with a third vintage of 'Vitruvio’). The tasting will be offered in combination with a selection of local products, such as cheeses and cold cuts.
