Get ready for a dynamic wine tourism adventure that blends winemaking, history, and storytelling. “Sober Men Tell No Tales” is a 2-hour immersive experience that begins in the winery and continues through the charming medieval streets of Guardia Sanframondi, one of the most fascinating villages in the Sannio wine region.
Phase 1 – Secrets of the Cellar
Your journey starts at the winery, where you’ll be welcomed into the winemaking and aging areas to discover how grapes are transformed into wine. Learn about the philosophy and dedication to Sannio’s native grape varieties, and enjoy your first tasting — one wine glass paired with a local product — to awaken the senses and appreciate the unique aromas and flavors of the territory.
Phase 2 – Wine Walking Tour in the Village
After your cellar visit, the experience moves to the historic center of Guardia Sanframondi, where wine, culture, and tradition meet. Accompanied by a local guide, you’ll take part in an itinerant tasting tour with three stops, each offering a different wine and a connection to the surrounding landscape or a local monument.
Along the way, you’ll visit squares, churches, and panoramic viewpoints, discovering the legends, history, and anecdotes that tie the village to its vineyards.
By the end of this unforgettable experience, you’ll understand why “Sober Men Tell No Tales” — because only those who have tasted these wines and walked these streets can truly know the spirit of Guardia Sanframondi and the soul of the Sannio region.

Meeting Point and Access:
Starting Point (Phase 1): Cantina Pirata, Via Sebastiano Guidi 9, Guardia Sanframondi (BN).
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time for registration.
Transfer: After the first phase, we will move together on foot to the historic center for the second phase.

Mobility: Please note that Phase 2 (Wine Walking Tour) takes place in the historic center of Guardia Sanframondi, which includes alleys, stairs, and uneven terrain. The experience is not recommended for people with reduced mobility or those using wheelchairs.Attire: Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. The experience takes place in all weather conditions (unless there is an extreme weather warning).
Minors: Minors under the age of 18 are allowed if accompanied by a responsible adult. The cost for minors does not include wine tasting.
Minimum Number of Participants: The experience is guaranteed upon reaching a minimum of 2 participants.
