During this guided walking food tour of Naples, you will visit the oldest market in town to taste some of the best typical local delicacies.
All Neapolitans visit this market to buy any product. The low prices and the authenticity of the products attract both tourists and locals. Here you will have the opportunity to breathe the same air as 200 years ago when the market was already famous.
You will visit a typical fish market, where they catch and cook fish, and taste delicacies like fried shrimp and cuttlefish. Next, you will try the famous crocché (potato croquettes), arancini (fried and stuffed rice balls), and fried corn. Then you will head to a delicatessen where you will try local products like cheese and cold cuts. Then you will visit the oldest "trippaiolo" in Naples and try the typical boiled lemon pork. You will also enjoy a refreshing glass of local wine.
Finally, it will be time for something sweet; you can choose one of the many Neapolitan desserts, such as the famous baba. Finish the tour by tasting a typical Neapolitan espresso.
