Superior Tour & Wine Tasting at Il Sosso Winery in Chianti
Here is what's in store for you
The experience at Il Sosso Winery begins with a walk through the vineyards and olive groves, where guests will learn about the meticulous care devoted to cultivation and sustainability. The tour continues in the vinification cellar, where the winemaking process is explained step by step. The journey then leads to the historic aging cellar, carved into tufo stone inside an ancient Leopoldine farmhouse, where wines mature to perfection.
The tasting takes place in an elegant setting and includes five wines that represent the best expressions of Il Sosso Winery: Bianco “Albico”, Rosato “Marì”, Chianti “Il Sosso”, Chianti Riserva “Ricordo”, and Supertuscan “Poggio Falcone”. Each wine is thoughtfully paired with a selection of Tuscan specialties, including bruschetta drizzled with estate-produced extra virgin olive oil, a platter of premium local cured meats and cheeses, and a tasting of a traditional Tuscan dish.
To conclude the experience on a sweet note, guests will enjoy a glass of Vinsanto “Accarigi”, accompanied by cantuccini, the classic Tuscan almond biscuits. The tour offers a complete sensory journey, allowing visitors to experience the rich traditions and flavors of the region while enjoying the warm hospitality of Il Sosso Winery.
