Good value Cretan wine tasting
We opted for the 6 wines sampling option but in fact were given more than 6. The host was friendly and polite, explained about the wines. This was a good value experience and an interesting opportunity to sample traditional Cretan varieties.
The tasting room lacks character, and compared with other wineries in the area it lacked a view of vineyards or open air tables other than directly overlooking the street. Several of the wines offered were somewhat basic and lacking in interest or complexity. The offering of cheese and rusks seemed a little lacking.

A lovely discovery
Coming up from Matala (south) towards Heraklion, we came across this winery that was offering wine tastings by the glass.
Several packages are offered, from a tasting of 4 glasses up to 10 and more.
The prices are reasonable and the tasting is accompanied by cheese, breadsticks, olives, croutons...
We visited the cellar for the production and storage.
Superb welcome in English with a few words of French.
The wines are perfect and we brought back a few bottles to enjoy in France.
We will come back.
A small presentation leaflet in French would be welcome.
