Tasting “Il Transumante” with Winery and Vineyard Tour at Guerino Pescara
Here is what's in store for you
Enjoy a full immersion in the culinary and winemaking heritage of Abruzzo with the “Degustazione del Transumante”, a unique tasting experience in Pratola Peligna (L’Aquila) that pays tribute to the historic connection between the Peligna mountains and the Tavoliere delle Puglie.
You’ll start with a guided visit to the vineyard and winery, learning about the production methods behind each label. Afterward, you’ll taste four wines—a red, a white, a rosé, and a sparkling—paired with a delicious selection of local specialties that reflect the transhumance tradition.
Among the food pairings: Aquilano bread, Puglian taralli by Famiglia D’Amicis, caciocavallo, pecorino, ricotta, coppiette di suino, and salami from Abruzzo and Puglia. Every bite and every sip will tell the story of two cultures intertwined by seasonal migration.

Pleasant Surprise
It was a pleasant and interesting experience.
Very nice to learn the history of this winery and the wines produced in, I would say, an artisanal and loving way are very good.
A must-try.
