In the historic heart of Veliko Tarnovo, a sommelier from the Wine Tasting Centre team will welcome you and guide you through this experience.
Your tasting begins with a conversation about your preferences, allowing the selection of seven wines to be tailored to your taste. The standard flight includes three whites, one rosé, and three reds, focusing on boutique producers from Central Northern Bulgaria. You will explore indigenous grape varieties like Gamza, Rubin, Dimyat, and Misket, learning about the producers and terroirs behind each glass. Your guide will help you identify aromas and flavors, explaining what makes Bulgarian wine distinctive.
The wines are served with a platter of traditional Bulgarian specialties sourced from the nearby Elena region. You'll taste pork cold cuts like Elenski but and sudzhuk, alongside regional cow’s milk cheeses such as Sirene and Kashkaval.
At the end of the two-hour tasting, you'll have the chance to purchase any bottles you particularly enjoyed.
