Our fun, friendly, and informative city and tapas tours take you beyond the typical tourist route and into the real heart of the city. Designed for curious travelers and food lovers, this experience combines local tales, hidden corners, and the delicious traditions that make Almería so special.
We begin our morning together in the beautiful square in front of Almería Cathedral, where you’ll hear fascinating stories and fun facts about this unique fortress-cathedral. From there, we stroll through the historic streets, uncovering local legends, secret spots, and places you’ll want to return to during the rest of your stay.
When we arrive at Mercado Central de Almería, the tasting begins with a wonderful introduction to one of Spain’s most important ingredients, the liquid gold, olive oil. From there, we continue our journey through the city and into the lively tapas district to experience what locals call “tapeando”, the art of enjoying small plates with a drink while socializing from bar to bar.
Along the way, you’ll taste delicious local specialties that most visitors would never think to order on their own. And don’t worry, no struggling with Spanish menus or trying to figure out how to manage an order at a crowded bar. We take care of everything so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
Our tours are intentionally small and personal (never more than 6 guests), creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. By the end of the tour, you won’t feel like a tourist; you’ll feel like a local who knows exactly how to enjoy Almería’s food scene.
