Your visit to Ribafreixo Wines begins in the Alentejo countryside, surrounded by 114 hectares of vineyards. You'll be welcomed by the wine tourism manager or the estate's head waiter, who will guide you through the property.
Weather permitting, the experience starts with a walk among the vines, where you'll learn about the local terroir and grape varieties. The tour continues inside the winery and cellar, giving you a close look at the winemaking process from harvest to bottling.
After the tour, you'll move to the restaurant for a guided tasting of three Alentejo wines. You can choose to have the tasting before your meal or pair the wines directly with lunch. The selection is flexible but typically includes a white, a rosé, and a red. Your meal is a traditional lunch from the chef's daily selection. It starts with a board of local cheeses and smoked meats like queijo de Évora, presunto, and chouriço, followed by a main course of fish or meat, such as cod or pork. The lunch also includes dessert, water, coffee, and an additional glass of white or red wine.
For younger visitors, the menu can be adapted with non-alcoholic drinks. This experience offers a complete immersion into the food and wine culture of Vidigueira, guided by the people who shape it every day.
