Tour and Wine Tasting at Cantina Sociale Colli Fiorentini in Chianti
Here is what's in store for you
Just 30 minutes from Florence, Cantina Sociale Colli Fiorentini, the largest producer of Chianti, offers a complete immersion into the region's winemaking.
Upon arrival, the winery's trained staff will welcome you and guide you through the estate. The tour, which takes place both indoors and outdoors, covers the history of the cooperative and its production techniques, from the vineyard to the bottle. You will see the spaces where the wine evolves, such as the charming barrel room or the main tasting room, depending on the day's operational needs.
The experience continues with a guided tasting designed as a crescendo. You will start with a white or sparkling wine, followed by the area's renowned reds: a Chianti DOCG, a Chianti Classico DOCG, and a Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG. The tasting highlights the Sangiovese grape, the soul of Tuscany. To conclude, you will sample a traditional sweet Vin Santo.
Your tasting will be accompanied by artisanal schiacciata, a local flatbread sourced from a trusted bakery, perfect for savoring with the estate's own extra virgin olive oil. The tasting is set against views of the garden and the Chianti hills, connecting you directly to the landscape. Children are welcome and will be offered water and their own portion of schiacciata.
