Truffle Hunt and Wine Tasting with Light Lunch in Monforte d'Alba
Here is what's in store for you
Exploring the woods in search of truffles—whether white or black—is one of the most thrilling experiences the Langhe region has to offer. Accompanied by a local trifulau (truffle hunter) and his trusty dog, you’ll join an authentic truffle hunt in the Barolo wine-producing area.
The hunt lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours, and is followed by a family-run winery visit and a guided tasting of the area’s most iconic wines: Barbera d’Alba, Langhe Nebbiolo, and Barolo. The tasting is paired with a rich truffle-inspired food board, including: fassona meat with truffle oil and hazelnuts, Barolo-flavored bacon, hard-boiled eggs with tuna-truffled sauce, truffle cheese, cheese with herbs, "toma di Langa" cheese, bread with typical sauce and tomato, canapé with truffle butter, honey, jam, hazelnuts, and hazelnut cake. There might be seasonal variations.
