The experience begins with a drive from Tbilisi to Sighnaghi, followed by a guided walk through the town’s 18th-century streets and panoramic viewpoints over the Caucasus Mountains and the Alazani Valley. Guests visit a local museum featuring works by the iconic Georgian naïve artist Pirosmani, enjoy a tasting of natural wines in a traditional cellar, and savor a chef’s seasonal lunch in an unmissable local wine restaurant. The first day concludes with dinner, craft beer tasting, and an overnight stay at Lost Ridge Inn in the Sighnaghi countryside, where guests can enjoy slow village life, warm hospitality, and wide-open views.
The second day continues deeper into Kakheti. After a relaxed breakfast, guests may take part in a gentle horseback riding experience before travelling toward the Telavi area. Here they meet a qvevri maker to learn how the UNESCO-listed clay vessels are crafted and used, with an opportunity to taste his family-made wines. A visit to a local farmers’ market offers insight into daily life in Kakheti, followed by a homemade lunch paired with natural wines and traditional regional dishes at a winemaker’s family home. The journey ends with a visit to one of Kakheti’s historic monasteries before returning to Tbilisi.
