Enjoy the feeling of stepping into a piece of the Italian vineyard life with this experience at Ca' Bruzzo. Our vineyard is in the lush greenery of the Colli Berici Hills, 15 minutes from the A4, between Venice and Verona.
The experience begins with a tour of the vineyard, where renovations are proceeding, and antique vines are recovered by grafting them to select root clones, hardy enough to survive without irrigation. Our farming methods, respectful of the environment, will be explained to you, and when possible the different grape varieties will be tasted right off the vine.
Tastings take place on our piazza overlooking the lush vineyards, or in the barrel cellar, among the barriques. Our winemaker will divulge a wide range of wine-making techniques, fruit of over 40 years of experience. During the tasting, the wines will be paired with local meats, cheeses, and grilled vegetables.
The Ca' Bruzzo winery produces six different wines, including chardonnay, cabernet, merlot, sangiovese, tai rosso, and spumante. The availability of any particular wine for the tasting may vary, four to six wines will be tasted during the visit. Our wines are aged in barrique, for one to four years. The chardonnay is fermented on the skins, creating an 'orange' style white wine.
The Ca' Bruzzo tasting experience offers you a relaxed atmosphere, away from the beaten path, where you are invited to enjoy a glass of wine and feel at home, away from home.
