Visit to the Vineyard, 1722 Estate House & Tasting at Santa Petronila, the Smallest Sherry Bodega in the World
Here is what's in store for you
Viña Santa Petronila is located in the heart of the Pago de Macharnudo, one of the most emblematic vineyard areas in Jerez. It is one of the few sherry wineries located in the countryside instead of the city.
The Estate House dates back to 1722, and still preserves original spaces like the Gañanía (where the foreman lived) and the old Lagar (where grapes were pressed). It was restored in 2010 and now houses a charming 8-room rural guesthouse, the “From Vine to Glass” visitor center, and what is proudly known as the Smallest Sherry Bodega in the World.
Your experience includes a walk through the vineyard, a visit to the historic 1722 estate house, and a tasting of 4 handcrafted natural wines—unfiltered and aged as sherry was made 100 years ago. The tasting is conducted in the micro-bodega by the owners themselves, Agustin and Brita, who share the story of the vineyard, their artisanal wine production, and their life on the estate.
Their premium wines are only available in restaurants and wine shops.
