– VENA AETNA, ETNA WHITE DOC: green olives, black olives, Etna pesto bruschettina, pesto bruschettina spaghettata, green olive pate tartine, black olive pate tartine;

Superb wine tasting experience!

We very much enjoyed the wine tasting event at the Oro d’Etna new tasting room. Our guide (Lisa?) was excellent - very informative and friendly, and answered our many questions. All wines sampled were very good, and we loved the reservea. Also, the food paired with the tastings was plentiful and delicious and accompanied the wine perfectly. We planned to visit the shop in town after, to sample honey and olive oil, but unfortunately we could not find the location. Sorry if this created an inconvenience. Cin Cin!
Only suggestion is to provide more specific directions to the winery (for tastings) and the shop in town - for those driving on their own. ;-)

Amazing winery at the bottom of Mt Etna

Visited Mt Etna for a 1/2 excursion
We heard that there were wineries with excellent grapes grown in the volcanic soil at the base of Everest.
After some online investigation, we decided and booked a wine tasting session with ORO D'ETNA
Was a delightful 2 hr session hearing about the history of the winery and tasting great wined with super tasty local charcuterie.
Also tried the various spreads they make and 8 different types of honey..
All harvested from hives on the property
Definitely worth a visit when visiting Catnaya/ ETNA area

What an amazing experience!
The vineyard is located a mile or so away from the vineyard shop, and as we had arrived at the shop rather than the vineyard our hostess Lisa was kind enough to drive us there and also pointed us in the direction of a short walk to view a lava flow whilst we waited for our experience to start.
Lisa was so lovely, accommodating and helpful. We had a guided tour of the property and the wine cellar with an explanation of the different wines and the wine making process, and then got to sample a great selection of wines and grappa, all served with very generous portions of paired dishes all of which were incredible.
The visit finished with a trip to the vineyard shop, with Lisa again arranging transport for us at no extra cost.
I can't recommend a visit to Oro D'Etna highly enough.
Be sure to check the addresses and to go to the vineyard not the shop!

We went for the winetasting. The host was very friendly. And the owner and his son were very passionate about their winemaking process. They told us about it while showing their new part of the winery. After the tour we started our winetasting. The wines are very good and unique! The food served with the wines was delicious and a lot! You don't need to eat after finishing the winetasting. We ended the winetasting with a grappa and even we liked it! We normally don't like to drink grappa. It was a great experience and if you are thinking about a winetasting I really recommend this beautiful winery!
The host was friendly and his knowledge about the wines were great. The only suggestion I have is to explore and taste other wines more. Like a champagne, cotes du provence or wines from other areas. We think it might help to improve your knowledge about other wines more. The knowledge about the wines served and other Italian wines was excellent!

La esperienza nella cantina Oro d'Etna è stata una sorpresa!
Posto bello sotto l'Etna, la struttura è moderna ed accogliente, ben curata, situata proprio "nella colata lavica" di Zafferana Etnea. Vino buono e pietanze buonissime e super abbondanti!
Natalia ci ha spiegato tutto ed è stata molto gentile e informata!

Il posto è un angolo di paradiso.
Siamo stati accolti da Lisa, bravissima e preparatissima. La degustazione è un percorso ben pensato e strutturato; gli accostamenti ai vini sono perfetti e buonissimi, delle vere prelibatezze tipiche siciliane. Consiglio vivamente! Ritorneremo presto!
P.S. L’arancino molto buono ma l’Arancina è molto meglio! Ahahahah Grazie Lisa!

Era la mia prima esperienza per quanto riguarda le degustazioni di vini.Ben organizzata,vini di qualità accompagnati da stuzzichini vari e ottima spiegazione dei vini.Peccato che per il maltempo non abbiamo avuto modo di visitare l'azienda ed il vigneto.Per quanto riguarda l apicoltura non abbiamo visto le api come speravamo ma solo visitato il negozio con piccoli assaggi.
