Walk among the olive trees & olive oil tasting at Azienda Agricola Invidia

Azienda Agricola Invidia is ready to open its doors to you for this experience.

Upon arrival, your guide will walk you through the olive grove, beginning with an introduction to the recently established farm and an introduction to the owner. The first stop, of about 5 minutes, will be near the first hill, from where you will be able to admire expanses of olive trees and a succession of emerald green hills. At the first stop, indicated with a bench in the shade of an olive tree, your guide will show a sign where the main characteristics of the plant, cultivation requirements, agronomic practices, yields, and average oil yields have been illustrated. 

You will then continue among the olive trees and arrive at the second stop, where a table set up will display the equipment needed for harvesting and an explanatory poster will explain how it is done. Near the table, a harvesting net will also be placed around an olive tree, and through rakes and gloves, it will be possible to try to simulate harvesting (even in the absence of olives). 

The third stage, which takes place under a centuries-old oak tree, will describe through a specific poster the stages of olive oil extraction and the main organoleptic characteristics of a good extra virgin olive oil. During the explanation, it will possible to rest in the shade of the oak tree by sitting on specially positioned benches. 

Then, you will be able to move independently in the olive grove (often observed by fearful roe deer) and slowly return to the tour departure where, at the farm shop, a small organic extra virgin oil tasting will be set up with tasty bruschettas. Here at the shop, you will also have the possibility to purchase some local products and taste them along with the oil. You will also be able to purchase olive oil to bring home with you.
