One of the highlights of the guided visit is the wine and chocolate pairing experience, where carefully selected wines are matched with artisan chocolates crafted by a chemical engineer. This pairing goes beyond a simple tasting, celebrating the art of bringing together two traditions in perfect harmony. Each sip and each bite reveal new dimensions of flavour, enhancing the depth and complexity of both the wine and the chocolate.
Your journey begins with an off-road vehicle transfer to a viewpoint overlooking the mouth of the Rio Sabor and the UNESCO-protected vineyards of the Vale do Douro. You will visit a winery for a wine tasting, followed by stops at picturesque viewpoints and lunch featuring local delicacies near the Basílica da Torre de Moncorvo. A short walk through a medieval village will lead you to a Port wine and chocolate pairing experience.
The tour concludes with a visit to a local producer’s estate for a further tasting and pairing session set amongst the vineyards, before returning to the starting point.
