Begin your sensory journey into the world of wine with this guided experience at Casanuova delle Cerbaie, designed to help you discover wine through all five senses and better understand your own preferences.
During the visit, you will learn how soil and grape varieties influence a wine’s character, explore the basic principles of winemaking and aging, and understand how to taste properly. You will also learn how to read labels, choose the wines you truly enjoy, and become familiar with the terminology used by sommeliers.
The experience includes a walk through the vineyard to learn about harvest and grape selection, followed by a visit to the winemaking cellar and the barrel room where wines age on their way to becoming Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. The guided study tasting takes place in the cozy fireplace room, with beautiful views over the vineyards and Montalcino. You will taste three wines plus one barrel sample, and you will receive a printed information guide to take notes and support your learning.
