Wine tasting at Bosque de Matasnos – Discover Ribera del Duero's Unique Winery

Bosque de Matasnos is a one-of-a-kind winery in Europe. We are a family-run estate in an extraordinary location, set in the middle of a private 220-hectare forest, just five minutes from the beautiful village of Peñaranda de Duero.

Start with exploring our vineyard — isolated from any others — and walking along our dirt paths. Afterwards, we’ll share the project from a technological and investment perspective, as well as our plans. You’ll understand our winemaking philosophy and what brought us to the remote highlands of Ribera del Duero, at nearly 1,000 meters above sea level. We’ll also tour our winemaking and aging facilities.

Finally, enjoy a tasting of 3 Bosque de Matasnos wines, including reds and whites. All of our wines spend time in oak barrels, although when you taste them, you’ll notice they are polished, silky wines. The team behind the project is made up of top professionals in each area, yet as a guest, you’ll enjoy a warm, close, family-style experience.

During the tasting, you’ll also try some of the products we make right here in the forest, such as cheese from the milk of our sheep, and Iberian products from our beloved pigs, like loin and chorizo.

This visit also gives you the chance to discover other beautiful spots in the region and to disconnect from the pace of everyday life — Bosque de Matasnos is like an island, generating its own electricity and drawing its own water. A place that will leave you speechless!
