Off-the-Path Chianti Tour with Lunch or Dinner from Florence or Siena

Your full-day exploration of Chianti begins when your sommelier guide picks you up directly from your accommodation. You'll travel away from the main routes and onto the region's famous 'strade bianche', the gravel roads that wind through a landscape of vineyards, olive groves, and forests.

The day includes visits to three different wineries, chosen to give you a complete picture of the area, from historic estates to small, family-run cellars. At each stop, you'll walk through the vineyards and explore the cellars, learning how the wine is made, from the vine to the final bottling. Your guide will explain the unique character of each producer.

Across the three visits, you will taste approximately 10 different wines. The selection will showcase the diversity of Tuscany, including Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva, and other local IGT wines made from Sangiovese, Vernaccia, and other native grapes. The tastings will take place in settings like dedicated tasting rooms or on panoramic terraces overlooking the hills.

During the tour, you will also stop for a seasonal, three-course Tuscan lunch. The meal starts with an appetizer of local products like pecorino cheese and Cinta Senese DOP, followed by a traditional pasta dish and a homemade dessert. Tastings of extra virgin olive oil, organic honey, and grappa are also part of the experience, connecting you further with the agricultural traditions of Chianti.
