Becker Vineyards' winery is a 10,000 square foot reproduction of a late 19th century German stone barn, a style prevalent in the Texas Hill Country. Since first opening in 1996, two winery expansions have taken place to accommodate 64 tanks and over 2000 barrels. The winery is the largest purchaser of French and American Oak barrels in Texas. Used barrels are often for sale but go quickly, please call the tasting room for availability. Guided tours are conducted hourly on weekends and on a limited basis during the week. The production and bottling operation is year round. Our state of the art Italian designed bottling equipment, processes 55 bottles per minute. Many of our wines are fully distributed throughout Texas, but check in the tasting room for winery-exclusive offerings.

Woodrose Winery in Stonewall, TX is located 13 scenic miles east of Fredericksburg, TX on Highway 290. We invite you to come out and have a glass of wine under the oaks and listen to music on our back deck. Less than 1 hour away from Austin and San Antonio, Texas, Woodrose Winery makes a wonderful afternoon outing for any occasion. So come and sit back, relax, and enjoy a glass of our outstanding wine. Woodrose has been around since 1999, when the first vines were planted. In 2005 wine maker and enthusiast Mike Guilette bought the winery and 24.5 acres and is now taking the winery to new heights. He and his family have been working very hard to get the winery on the map. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed; in fact, each year they plan to increase production by twenty percent, eventually producing ten times their current volume. Woodrose Winery is located in Stonewall, Texas on the south side of Hwy 290 just west of Stonewall or 13 miles east of Fredericksburg on Woodrose Lane. Although Woodrose is one of the smaller wineries, we are expanding very quickly. In the past year Woodrose has doubled its volume and we aren’t stopping there.

William Chris Vineyards

Winemakers William (Bill) Blackmon and Chris Brundrett bring a combined 35 years of winegrowing experience in creating wines that lean on Old World techniques to deliver a signature winemaking style. They follow a philosophy that delivers wines of structural balance and delicate nuance, allowing the terroir of each specific vineyard’s fruit to dictate the choices they make in bringing each vintage from vineyard to bottle. Bill and Chris call themselves ‘winegrowers’ rather than winemakers, and they emphasize the importance of “putting footsteps in the vineyard.” As veterans of the Texas viticulture industry, they’ve come to the conclusion that an intimate attention to the particular needs of each block of every vineyard is necessary to achieve the best possible quality. Select blocks are then hand-picked and sorted for ripeness, with some of the state’s most mature High Plains and Hill Country vineyards featured exclusively at William Chris.
