5 Great Wines and Customer Service (Jennifer)Had a great visit last month with my husband! It was our first time visiting the winery and we were able to meet the winemaker while there. The Reds were some of the best that I have had in Virginia. The staff were also very friendly and knowledgable about the vineyard and the wines. We really enjoyed speaking with Rebecca who helped us that day. We are looking forward to our next visit when we are in the area.

5 Pretend you are in Italy! (Jo @ HaveGlassWillTravel.com)Such good wines! I enjoyed each one (and I enjoyed a couple of them more than once! LOL!) This was my second visit with the new owners (changed hands about 5 years ago). It just keeps getting better!

5 Peaceful patio with a view of the vineyard and Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains (Jo @ HaveGlassWillTravel.com)Excellent wines - nothing destined for the spit-bucket here!!. Tastings are delivered to your table by the owners, one at a time, and the wine is described. Very personal and educational (in a good way!) This winery has won awards with EVERY. SINGLE. WINE. Who can say that!!?? They don't flaunt it, but I counted over 85 awards on their 12 wines. Stanburn started making wines in 2011 - and started winning medals in 2012! Due to some odd-ball legal regulations, there aren't signs directing you to the winery. But if you put their address in your GPS, you'll find it just like I did!
