3 A Lovely and Authentic Sicilian Wine Experience (Quincy)We had a lovely experience visiting this beautiful, rustic winery in Sicily. We were warmly welcomed and received a clear and interesting explanation of the winemaking process, including information about where the different grapes are grown. We did miss a brief personal introduction at the beginning, as the experience moved almost immediately into the details of winemaking. We had expected the visit to have a more relaxed seated wine tasting. Instead, the tasting took place while standing between the wine barrels. We also used the same glass for each wine, meaning the group had to wait until everyone had finished before moving on to the next one. A seated tasting area and separate glasses, or a way to rinse them between wines, could make the experience feel a little more relaxed. The small snacks and cheeses served alongside the wines were a very nice addition. Our personal favourites were the red wines. After the tasting, we had to wait for the temperature to cool down a little before visiting the vineyard. It was very thoughtful that folding chairs and tables were available to be put outside in the shade, where we could sit, relax and enjoy some of the wine we had purchased. One thing we were particularly looking forward to was the olive oil tasting. Unfortunately, this was not available because it was not the right season and the olive harvest had been relatively small that year, so the available oil had to be used sparingly. We completely understand the reason, although it was still a little disappointing as this had been one of the experiences we were excited about. We also expected a little more from the vineyard visit itself. We were not entirely sure beforehand what it would involve, but in practice it consisted mainly of walking across the road to see the vines and then returning to the winery. It could be a nice addition to spend a little more time there and explain the grape varieties, growing conditions or vineyard work while walking through the vines. Overall, the hospitality was excellent. We especially appreciated being able to stay at the outdoor foldable tables afterwards while waiting for our taxis. It was a relaxed and welcoming end to the visit, and we really enjoyed the setting, the wines and the friendly atmosphere.

5 Small Nero D'Avola winery (Kenneth)Highly recommend visiting this small winery. Its different from the usual commercial sized wineries and hence offers a more intimate experience. The wines are great as well so you will be taking some home with you. You taste 4 different wines and a grappa for a very reasonable price. If you are on the area make it part of your itinerary.

5 Very enjoyable visit (Shaun)We really enjoyed our visit. Our guide was very knowledgeable and during a walk through the vines he shared many details about their organic wine making process that was new to us. After an equally informative visit to the winery itself we then tried a few of their unique wines along with selected cheeses that enhanced the taste of each wine. We highly recommend a visit to anyone who with an interest in the wine process.

5 The best wine tasting experience in Ragusa (Trym)If you just want to taste wine, and know a little bit about it, this is the place to go. We got as much cheese and cookies as we wanted, also a refill if we wanted that. Some of the wine came straight from the tank. Very nice and helpfuo workers that show you around. The wine tasted amazing. Would definetley recommend to go here to get a raw, real wine experience. Even if you are not into wine.

5 Armosa Vineyard Wine Tasting (Christopher)We had a brief tour of the vineyards (it was very hot out, so we asked to cut that short) followed by a great tasting of four different wines, as well as some olive oil and grappa. Everything was delicious, and the winemaker Salvo and his daughters were extremely pleasant and personable. Highly recommended in you're in the Modica vicinity.
