Very kind and enjoyable tasting

The wine tasting conducted by Alice was very enjoyable and informative, even though she also had to look after hotel guests and work at the hotel reception. Unfortunately, the presentation was conducted in English, although it had actually been booked in German. However, the change was announced in advance and accepted by us. So it wasn't a problem, even though Alice's English could be improved. We particularly liked the Merlot, a grape variety that is rarely grown in Piedmont. Conclusion: we received a very friendly welcome and dedicated service. We enjoyed it very much.

About Winery and Wines

My name is Emanuele Gambino, and in 2016, I established my farm in Costigliole D’Asti, where I personally cultivate and vinify my own grapes. Our winery stands out for exclusively using our own grapes, ensuring strict control over every phase of the process, in line with the principles of organic agriculture. We produce around 25,000 bottles a year, prioritizing quality over quantity. Our modern equipment, including temperature-controlled stainless steel fermenters, allows for natural clarifications and stabilizations without additives, minimizing oxidation and the use of sulfites. We combine traditional and innovative methods in aging, using barrels, barriques, and amphorae for our dry Moscato, creating unique wines that reflect our strong connection to the land and its winemaking heritage.

My Barbera d’Asti DOCG, from grapes in Costigliole d’Asti, embodies the essence of Monferrato with intense notes of cherry, plum, and wild berries. The Superiore DOCG version, from an old vineyard in Nizza, rests in large oak barrels for a more complex and refined wine. Then there's “MO’ FREM,” my Piemonte DOC Moscato Secco crafted in terracotta amphora, along with Piemonte DOC Sauvignon, lively and versatile, and Piemonte DOC Merlot, elegant and produced in limited quantities. I introduced the Langhe DOC Nebbiolo to celebrate our region and enrich our collection. More wines are on the way, so stay tuned!
