Maligni Winery is located in the hills of Chieti, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. With roots spanning over five generations, the family’s passion for viticulture took its current form in 2009 with the creation of the Maligni brand, building on the legacy of the historic Savini Maria Assunta and Tomei wineries.

The estate extends over 22 hectares, including vineyards, olive groves, and farmland. The vineyards benefit from a particularly favorable terroir, producing high-quality grapes in a landscape that combines sea influence and hillside exposure.

Maligni represents a harmonious balance between tradition and innovation, with a strong commitment to environmental respect and quality. The winery also offers a welcoming space for tastings, where guests can experience the charm of the natural surroundings and authentic Mediterranean hospitality.

The main grape varieties include Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, Pecorino, Cococciola, and Passerina, all well-suited to the local climate and soils. The wines stand out for their quality, freshness, and expressive character.

Great attention is given to vineyard management and grape selection, resulting in wines with low sulfite levels and a focus on authenticity and drinkability. The winemaking philosophy avoids industrial approaches, aiming instead to highlight the natural qualities of the grapes.
