Ottimo degustazione!!

7/1/21
La proprietaria Sonia ci ha guidati nelle cantine raccontandoci la loro storia. Professionale e davvero molto brava nella spiegazione, si percepisce il duro lavoro e la passione.
Assolutamente consigliato! Ritorneremo senz’altro!

About Winery and Wines

Federico Mencaroni is the fourth generation of wine-growers in his family. The historical family winery, founded in the last century and located in Corinaldo (Le Marche region), in 2009 passed the baton to Federico, who after oenological studies at the Milan University and more than ten years of work experiences in some Italian wineries from South to North of the Country, began to manage the company in order to develop technical and technological innovations and to improve the quality of the products. Federico and his collaborators (Alberto, Luca and Sonia) follow all the vineyards, carrying out the harvest (by hand), and all the next production steps of the grapes and the wines (vinification, bottling, sparkling process and disgorging) without designating any third parts. The size of the company, the family run management and the genuine and natural processing of the raw material, give birth to a product that can still be called “craftsmanship”. The vineyards, most of them of white grapes, are treated by organic fertilizer, grassing, copper and sulphur, always trying to improve the quality of grapes by practicing low production per hectare (about 70 quintal). A native and unique grape as Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi, gives to Federico the change to create the product he wants and he likes and to produce wines with unique features as Isola and Flora, and sparkling traditional method wines with great personality as Contatto, Apollonia and Marcello Federico.

ISOLA, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 100%, DOC The wine matures in steel tanks on noble wine lees for 18 months and other 6 months in its bottle before the selling. FLORA, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 70%, Malvasia 15%, Biancame 15%, IGP Marche Bianco. The wine matures on noble wine lees for 6 months and 1 other month in the bottle before the selling. URBANO, Montepulciano, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon (the percentage depends on the yearly grape harvest), IGP Marche Rosso. The wine ages in barrique for 12 months and other 6 months on the bottle. CONTATTO, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 100% DOC, Traditional-method sparkling, Brut. The wine ages on the wine noble lees for about 50 months and other 4 months after the disgorging. APOLLONIA, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi 100% DOC. Traditional-method sparkling, Brut Nature. The wine ages on the wine noble lees for about 50 months and other 4 months after the disgorging. MARCELLO FEDERICO, Verdicchio 80%, Montepulciano 20%, Traditional-method Sparkling rose' wine, Extra brut IGP Marche. Verdicchio grapes are vinified with the traditional-method of sparkling wine. Montepulciano grapes follow the traditional red wine vinification. After about 7 months of maturation, the wine is carried out and bottled for the slow fermentation that last 36 months.
