About Winery and Wines

My name is Davide Cunial, and I am proud to represent the latest chapter in the long and storied history of the Cunial family, which has been producing exceptional wines from the Piave region for over 80 years. In 2009, alongside my cousin Denis Cunial, we founded the Cà Bonetto winery with the vision to modernize and expand upon the legacy started by our predecessors, Valerio and Mario Cunial. The foundation of Cà Bonetto marks the continuation of a rich family tradition of winemaking, and we officially inaugurated our new winery on June 13, 2010, with a grand celebration attended by customers, civil and religious authorities, and the community.

Our state-of-the-art winery, carefully designed by expert technicians in the field, is both functional and visually appealing, ensuring that visitors experience not only the best of our wines but also the beauty of our facility. Cà Bonetto's structure is divided into distinct sections: offices with a ground-floor laboratory, a meeting room, a sales point for bottling and bulk wine, and areas dedicated to grape harvesting and wine storage. Every aspect of our winery is a testament to our commitment to quality, tradition, and innovation in the world of Piave wines.

At Cà Bonetto, we take great pride in cultivating vineyards that produce wines showcasing the unique characteristics of the Piave region. Our vineyards are divided into three distinct areas, each with its own soil composition, grape varieties, and style of wine.

Raboso, Carmenere, and Merlot: Located south of Campobernardo, this plot thrives near the river Piave. With clayey, loamy soils rich in minerals, it is perfect for growing robust and full-bodied red wines such as Raboso, Carmenere, and Merlot, along with the distinctive golden Verduzzo. These vines reflect the strong character of the region.

Prosecco, Chardonnay, and Riesling: The largest part of our vineyard, situated north of the village, features medium-textured, clayey soils. In this area, we grow grapes for lighter wines with refined bouquets, including Chardonnay, Riesling, Prosecco, Marzemino, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Refosco. These varieties are known for their elegance and delicate aromas.

Merlot and Raboso for Rosé: In the village of Candolè, this vineyard with medium-textured, less clayey soils is home to our red varieties like Merlot and Raboso, which are particularly well-suited for crafting our exquisite rosé wines.

From the bold and structured reds to the elegant whites and rosés, every bottle from Cà Bonetto reflects our passion for winemaking and our deep connection to the Piave region's rich winemaking history.
